![]() People handle real-feeling firearms way differently than they do fake ones. ![]() That'll be a much better option.įor rifles, make sure they're hefty and metal like real ones. A lot of people recommend Glocks, but I've had a lot of trouble getting realistic-looking blowback Glocks without being U.S. With all CO2 blowbacks, you'll need to remove the magazine spring to ensure the gun doesn't lock back after each shot while unloaded. Very very close to feeling like the real thing, and has a great blowback action. I'm not sure if you already have props or not, but for pistols, I really recommend this CO2 blowback pistol. On most film sets even when they record real/realistic gunfire, they usually end up adding more in post anyways so I'd always recommend saving yourself the trouble and safety. I also enjoy guns as a hobby, and I can tell you that practical gunfire is nowhere near as exciting as VFX/movie gunfire - even with blanks. ![]() ActionVFX is a great resource for incredible quality muzzle flashes/gun smoke/etc. Due to safety reasons, I strongly advise doing this in VFX as well.
